Fuchsbau is back in town - are you in? ✨
This year's festival will take place from 12-14 SEPTEMBER 2025 in HANNOVER. For the first time in many years, we are returning to the city for a major festival edition, joining forces with the Initiative Hüttenstraße, the MusikZentrum and Gleis D. For the first time, we will be playing in an area located between the sites of the three local organisations - a completely new location for us all. We are planning wonderful open-air concerts, artistic contributions, workshops, discussions and DJ sets in the open air or at night in the club.
After us, the future ✨
With the concept ‘After us, the future’, the Fuchsbau Festival in 2025 explores the possibilities of new beginnings in the city and society. We ask the following question:
- Who shapes new beginnings? Who can afford to start over and what power dynamics lie behind this?
- How can we start over? What alliances are needed and how can we forge them? How can we be courageous together to dare to try something new? And: How free are we really in (re)shaping our own reality?
- Where can we start anew? What are the places that can shape our social behaviour in the future?
With this theme, the Fuchsbau follows on from last year's theme ‘We're doomed, babe. A journey to the end of the world’.
📫 Festival format - what exactly are we planning?
The Fuchsbau Festival 2025 will provide a striking new cultural impulse for three days in Hanover-Vahrenwald: a programme with over 30 musical and fifteen non-musical contributions will unfold on four stages - two outdoors and two indoors. We want to reach 999 people per day. Sunday will be family and neighbourhood-oriented and admission-free. On Friday and Saturday, you can look forward to the usual experimental booking.
💞 Awareness & Code of Conduct
We want to create a braver space at the Fuchsbau Festival. Inhuman and discriminatory, i.e. racist, anti-Semitic, anti-Muslim, sexist, queer-hostile, trans-hostile and ableist behaviour will not be tolerated and will lead to exclusion from the event. You can read our Code of Conduct here.
There will be a trained awareness team on site who you can contact if you feel uncomfortable or need a place to retreat. We will publish our detailed awareness concept in due course - it is currently being revised.
💰 Transparency regarding ticket prices
Because transparency is important to us: Around 40% of the costs for the festival are production costs (technology, infrastructure, etc.). We spend around a third of the money on artists' fees (including travelling expenses). The rest of the money is spent on advertising and documentation as well as fees for the part of our team that does not work on a voluntary basis, e.g. the awareness team or our tax consultants. By the way: if we didn't have public funding, the ticket would have to be more than twice as expensive.
The ticket price incl. fees includes a 4.9% shopping basket fee and an additional €0.95 per ticket. This amount goes to our sustainable ticketing service provider Höme. Höme uses the fees to promote more diversity in the cultural sector, among other things.
👯 Group discount
Are you a group of friends? Then buy together and save. If you buy more than 5 weekend tickets at once, you will receive a 10% discount on the entire shopping cart.
🤝 Soli contribution, soli tickets and volunteering
We have endeavoured to make the ticket prices fair. Since our budget is very tight, we are very happy about voluntary solidarity contributions at check-out, should you have a few thalers left over. If you can't afford the ticket, please get in touch with Anna (she/he) at anna at fuchsbau-festival.de. Alternatively, you can of course also volunteer at the festival. Here(opens in a new tab) you can apply as a volunteer.
🚲 How to get there
As we only have very limited parking spaces available this year, we ask you to leave your car behind if at all possible. You can easily reach the site via the Nordstadt train station stop.
🦊 The team
The crew behind the Fuchsbau Festival works on a voluntary basis. We are organised decentrally and come from Hamburg, Berlin, Weimar, Hildesheim and Hanover and work on this project all year round. We are united by the desire to provide you as a visitor with a very special festival experience that deals with burning issues of our time every year and at the same time creates a space that invites you to escape from everyday life. If you would like to get to know the team, please contact Julia (she/he) at julia@fuchsbau-festival.de
🎵 Funding
