NORLYZ @ Ratinger Hof
NORLYZ are an electro-acoustic live band that combines the warmth of acoustic instruments with the precision and energy of electronic music. Inspired by techno, world music and jazz, they create a sound that is both danceable and nuanced – with room for improvisation and atmospheric depth. Since its formation in 2022, the band has played at festivals such as Fusion, Elbjazz and 3000Grad, as well as in clubs such as Sisyphos Berlin. Their debut album First Dawn On Planet B. (2022) marks their debut as an independent project and has been supplemented by numerous singles, live videos and remixes. The four musicians bring together diverse backgrounds from jazz, rock, electronic music and international influences. Live, this results in a journey through cinematic soundscapes and parallel worlds – between concert and club, structure and free expression. Lovebird Festival
Various music genres are presented and other art forms are integrated. Jazz is at the heart of the program, but it does not dominate; instead, it serves as the foundation for a wide range of new sonic combinations: jazz and hip-hop, jazz and electronic music, as well as indie, funk, and soul. The aim is to create a festival from an expanded musical offering and additional creative spaces that functions as a harmonious Gesamtkunstwerk, encouraging participation, listening, observing, and reflection. In short: a festival for the senses. The non-music program includes: a film screening at the Cinema arthouse cinema, a karaoke talk with Musikalisches Poesiealbum, a panel discussion, and a music and bird-themed city tour.
