Searching for Home @ Sparda-Bühne
Celebrating their tenth anniversary, the eleven-piece Leipzig-based collective Searching for Home takes a special anniversary show on tour. Following three releases, more than 170 concerts and several awards, the band presents new and newly arranged originals. With a fresh sound and strong forward momentum, they explore interpersonal relationships — closeness and distance, self-reflection and connection. Led by vocalist Ida, an energetic live experience unfolds through pulsating grooves, powerful horn sections and refined synthesizer textures, convincingly bringing together jazz and pop. Good to know: Admission is subject to the venue’s capacity and current occupancy. As entry is free of charge, no ticket is required. More informations here!(opens in a new tab)

Lovebird Festival
Various music genres are presented and other art forms are integrated. Jazz is at the heart of the program, but it does not dominate; instead, it serves as the foundation for a wide range of new sonic combinations: jazz and hip-hop, jazz and electronic music, as well as indie, funk, and soul. The aim is to create a festival from an expanded musical offering and additional creative spaces that functions as a harmonious Gesamtkunstwerk, encouraging participation, listening, observing, and reflection. In short: a festival for the senses. The non-music program includes: a film screening at the Cinema arthouse cinema, a karaoke talk with Musikalisches Poesiealbum, a panel discussion, and a music and bird-themed city tour.
