Theo Croker
Theo Croker is a storyteller who speaks through his trumpet - a creative who defies boundaries, a GRAMMY®️ Award nominated artist, composer and producer who makes himself heard through music. After seven years in Shanghai, he released his first bubbling CD Afro Physicist in 2014 with the support of Dee Dee Bridgewater. Following the success of Escape Velocity in 2016, he soared to new heights with Star People Nation in 2019, and the record earned him a nomination for the 62nd GRAMMY®️ Awards in the ‘Best Contemporary Instrumental Album’ category.

Lovebird Festival
Various music genres are presented and other art forms are integrated. Jazz is at the heart of the program, but it does not dominate; instead, it serves as the foundation for a wide range of new sonic combinations: jazz and hip-hop, jazz and electronic music, as well as indie, funk, and soul. The aim is to create a festival from an expanded musical offering and additional creative spaces that functions as a harmonious Gesamtkunstwerk, encouraging participation, listening, observing, and reflection. In short: a festival for the senses. The non-music program includes: a film screening at the Cinema arthouse cinema, a karaoke talk with Musikalisches Poesiealbum, a panel discussion, and a music and bird-themed city tour.
