Ziggy Zeitgeist Trio @ Schleuse Zwei
Led by drummer Ziggy Zeitgeist, a defining figure on the Australian scene and known for his work with the nu-soul/future jazz collective 30/70, among others, the Ziggy Zeitgeist Trio combines jazz and dancefloor music to create a unique live experience. Ziggy's music is celebrated in both jazz and club contexts and supported by international tastemakers. Influenced by Australian rave culture outside of classic clubs – the so-called ‘bush doofs’ – Ziggy understands electronic music as a collective state: connected with consciousness, community and landscape. The trio translates this idea into a lively band format: synthesizers meet flutes, jazz drums meet raw broken beat energy. The result is a continuous sound journey between club night, improvisation and trance-like intensity. More info here!(opens in a new tab)

Lovebird Festival
Various music genres are presented and other art forms are integrated. Jazz is at the heart of the program, but it does not dominate; instead, it serves as the foundation for a wide range of new sonic combinations: jazz and hip-hop, jazz and electronic music, as well as indie, funk, and soul. The aim is to create a festival from an expanded musical offering and additional creative spaces that functions as a harmonious Gesamtkunstwerk, encouraging participation, listening, observing, and reflection. In short: a festival for the senses. The non-music program includes: a film screening at the Cinema arthouse cinema, a karaoke talk with Musikalisches Poesiealbum, a panel discussion, and a music and bird-themed city tour.
