SNEAK PEAKS 2025

SNEAK PEAKS is a fixed-route, unsupported, single-stage bikepacking expedition that begins and ends in Bolzano. The route traverses the Italian Dolomites and the highest mountain ranges in Northern Italy. The route combines gravel, single and double tracks, tarmac roads, and forgotten colonial pistes that have fallen into disrepair. Some sections require walking, and at times, riders will face significant distances between resupply points.

Participants can choose from three routes:

ENTREE: 500 km, 17,000 m elevation gain, 5 checkpoints

CLASSIC: 750 km, 28,000 m elevation gain, 7 checkpoints

ADVENTURE: 1,100 km, 40,000 m elevation gain, 12 checkpoints

A tracker rental is mandatory and will be automatically added when booking your spot for one of the three distances.

Despite rising costs in the event industry, we have decided not to increase ticket prices further and to introduce a new, discounted ticket category: the Cosmic Care Ticket. We have also structured ticket prices based on the income levels to make SNEAK PEAKS more accessible to those with tighter budgets.

According to the Statistisches Bundesamt, the average gross salary in Germany in 2024 was €45,000. In response, we are offering a ticket category above and below this amount. The Cosmic Care Ticket is specifically designed for individuals whose income or social circumstances make it impossible to participate in SNEAK PEAKS at the standard ticket price.

We also want to encourage local riders to participate in SNEAK PEAKS and will offer discounted LOCAL RIDER tickets. These tickets are priced based on the average annual income in Italy, which is 22% lower than the national average in Germany.

The SPACE PASSENGER ticket is for the early birds! It’s the most affordable way to secure your spot for the outer space madness, while also giving us some planning security for investments. Available until December 31th 2024.

If you need more time, the MOON WALKER ticket might be the best option. Available until March 31st 2025.

The LATE ARRIVAL ticket is for last-minute entries. While it’s challenging for us to plan with too many LATE ARRIVALS, we still want to offer this last-minute option for you. Available until June 30th 2025.  

Tracker rental

For safety reasons, all riders are required to rent a tracker. Please note that this is not a deposit; the fee is paid directly to the tracking provider Follow My Challenge.

We kindly ask all riders to leave a deposit of €200 against the tracking device loss or damage via PayPal until August 31st 2025, using the Friends & Family option. In the payment details, please include your FULL NAME + SNEAK PEAKS 2025. The deposit will be refunded upon the return of the tracker.

• Finish party: you decide how big the celebration gets - we’re ready!

• Accommodation: outdoor overnight stays at the start and finish locations

• Event photography: access to all event photos for personal use after the event

As a member of Shift Cycling Culture, we aim to drive positive climate action across the cycling industry. We start by not only avoiding and reducing the carbon footprint of all Orbit360 events but also by offsetting the entire CO2 emissions caused by hosting these events. As a small team, it’s challenging to cover all the costs alone, and we would greatly appreciate your contribution.

SNEAK PEAKS is a “no-flight ride,” meaning that only riders who commit to traveling flight-free to and from the event will be able to participate. You can contribute to the Sustainability Fund at the end of your booking process.

The idea is to support individuals with tighter budgets and make SNEAK PEAKS more accessible, with the help of the entire Orbit360 community. Some thoughts about the COSMIC CARE TICKET 

The SOLIDARITY FUND will be filled by buyers who are able to leave a little extra support in addition to the normal entrance fee. If the SOLIDARITY FUND is not sufficiently filled, COSMIC CARE TICKETS will temporarily not be available for purchase. Any remaining funds in the SOLIDARITY FUND will be donated to The Generation Forest.

Rules

• No proof of financial need is required to purchase a COSMIC CARE TICKET.

• A maximum of one ticket per customer is allowed.

• Tickets are personalized and clearly marked for identification.

• Resale is prohibited and not possible due to personalization.

• At accreditation, you must present your personalized COSMIC CARE TICKET along with a valid ID at the entrance. 

An Important Appeal

The COSMIC CARE TICKET is specifically designed for those who would not be able to participate in SNEAK PEAKS without financial assistance. We trust and believe in the goodwill of the Orbit360 community and hope that this solidarity will not be exploited. However, we reserve the right to withdraw COSMIC CARE TICKET from sale or suspend sales on an individual basis in cases of noticeable and significant abuse.

The SNEAK PEAKS bikepacking expedition is not just another ride - it's an unparalleled adventure that pushes the limits of what’s possible on two wheels. Set in a breathtakingly rugged yet stunningly beautiful environment, this journey demands resilience, self-reliance, and a passion for exploration. It's a true test of endurance, requiring participants to conquer back-to-back long days in the saddle while navigating the challenges of a high-altitude, mountainous terrain. Riders must be prepared to face exhaustion and make crucial decisions in a demanding, unpredictable environment where self-sufficiency is key.

While we encourage riders with multi-day bikepacking experience - preferably off-road in remote areas - this isn’t an expedition reserved for only the most elite. SNEAK PEAKS is open to determined adventurers ready to embrace the challenge and commit to their safety and the safety of others.

To ensure every participant is prepared for the unique demands of this journey, we’ve introduced a comprehensive application process. The mandatory first part of the questionnaire focuses on real-life scenarios you may encounter during SNEAK PEAKS, testing your decision-making skills and readiness for the challenges ahead.

The second part, optional but encouraged, allows us to learn more about you and why you’ve chosen SNEAK PEAKS over countless other incredible bikepacking events. 

The questionnaire must be completed within two weeks of registration. We’ll carefully review all responses and, in the case of failure, invite you to attend a mandatory online briefing closer to the event to ensure everyone’s safety (and hopefully) success.

ENTREE

This is the most accessible way to experience the unique atmosphere of SNEAK PEAKS. Departing on September 5th from Bolzano, riders participating in the ENTREE distance will follow a 490 km (17.000 m of elevation gain) fixed route, passing through five checkpoints. At each checkpoint, they must collect a stamp in their brevet card before heading to the finish line in Bolzano, where a well-deserved post-race cold drink (or two!) awaits. 

CLASSIC

Starting on September 5th in Bolzano, riders tackling the CLASSIC distance will traverse a breathtaking 780 km (28.000 m of elevation gain) route, weaving through rugged mountain landscapes and passing seven iconic checkpoints. At each checkpoint, participants will collect a stamp for their brevet card - a badge of their progress - before continuing toward the ultimate destination. The journey culminates back in Bolzano, where the camaraderie of fellow adventurers and a well-earned, ice-cold drink (or two!) await, celebrating the triumph of an epic expedition. 

ADVENTURE

This could be the most adventurous bikepacking route in Europe! On September 4th, the ultimate alpine adventure begins in Bolzano. Riders daring enough to take on the ADVENTURE distance will embark on a grueling yet awe-inspiring 1.100 km expedition, conquering a staggering 40,000 meters of elevation gain. This epic route carves its way through untamed mountain wilderness, challenging participants with relentless climbs, thrilling descents, and eleven legendary checkpoints scattered across the breathtaking peaks of the Italian and Swiss Alps. At each checkpoint, riders will earn a stamp for their brevet card - a testament to their grit and progress - as they push ever closer to the finish. Those who make it back to Bolzano will finally get SNEAK PEAKS approved, welcomed by their fellow riders and adventurers. A well-earned, ice-cold drink (or two!) awaits, celebrating the triumph of an epic expedition.
