jazzwerkstatt Peitz

Founded in 1973 amidst the idyllic landscapes of Niederlausitz, the Jazzwerkstatt Peitz was affectionately called the "Woodstock by the Carp Pond" by fans. In the GDR, it became a powerful symbol of improvised resistance and attracted a large following before being banned in 1982. Since its revival in 2011, it has continued to preserve its spirit of freedom and its international appeal.
